О ТАК НАЗЫВАЕМОМ «ПОСАДСКОМ» ЭЛЕМЕНТЕ В СОЦИОКУЛЬТУРНОЙ СРЕДЕ РУССКОГО ГОРОДА XVII В
On the so-called “posadsky” (trade) element of social and cultural environment of Russian city of the 17th century

В статье рассматривается и корректируется содержание понятия «посадский», распространенного в историографии русского города XVII в. На примере анализа текста Уложения 1649 г. и источников, связанных со строительством храмов в городах XVII в., показано, что термин «посадский» следует применять с осторожностью, так как он обладает конкретной социокультурной семантикой и неприложим ко всем явлениям городской культуры этого времени.

The article considers and corrects the scope of the concept “posadsky” (trade) in the histo-riography of the 17th century Russian city. It is used in order to determine typical phenom-ena of the culture of the trade people: “posadsky” literature, “posadsky” art, “posadsky” architecture etc. But we ought to use the term “posadsky” carefully. It has particular social and cultural semantics and can not define all phenomena of the culture of Russian city of that time. It is shown through the analysis of the Code of the 1649 and the sources related to the building of churches in Russian cities.
